It was pretty cool, there were tons of sculptures all set up
along the coastal rocks and on nearby grassy areas, and ranging from the
geometric, to the elegant, to the very weird. Here are a few examples, starting
with this kangaroo.
There’s Italian written on these giant origami things.
These cute little plastic gummy critters were wedged in the
rocks next to the path, like they were frolicking around (lots of the
sculptures were fitted into the landscape, which was cool – there was a giant
truck sculpture scooping up sand on the beach at one point).
These windmills made a clicking sound as they spun around,
and there were feathers tied to the tops of each one.
It was pretty cloudy and muggy the whole time, but the sun
broke briefly to shine on this dome.
I think this is a type of honeyeater; it’s sitting on top of
one of the stone sculptures.
I thought these metal animals were pretty cool, especially
the bear.
I loved this Roman frog on a bike – so random!
That was just a snippet of all the weird stuff out and about
on the walk, and I saw a nice little sunset after I finished with the
sculptures, although then I had to finish the walk to Coogee as it got darker,
which was interesting.
